If this weather holds up much longer I will declare it Indian Summer. This late in the Fall we usually get more cold snaps and freezing rain but for the last few weeks we have been enjoying lovely days and the occasional frosty night.
Pennie in the above photo is how I like to catch her. { Isn't she cute?} She busies herself in the yard doing whatever just to be outside in the fresh air. If not actually doing a chore we still have to find time to take a walk and check out another local area. We circled the small lake at a conservation area last week and hope it freezes solid during winter so we can return and skate at the same spot. Checked out our urban bush nearby to see it without its leaves. Just as nice a walk as earlier in the season. I'm counting all the squirrel nests up in the trees.
